Assay Jewelers ("AJ") takes pride in the craftsmanship and quality of our jewelry and timepieces. However, should you encounter any issues upon delivery, please immediately contact our Customer Concierge team for assistance.

This page contains two warranties: the Fine Jewelry Warranty and the Watch Movement Warranty. The General Terms at the end of this page apply to both.

FINE JEWELRY WARRANTY

Coverage: AJ provides a limited warranty for a period of three (3) years from the date of delivery for all fine jewelry purchased from www.assayjewelers.com or through official AJ channels. This warranty covers defects in design, assembly, material, or workmanship under normal use. Covered defects include, but are not limited to, loose or missing stones, broken or loose prongs, and broken clasps or chains. Vintage, pre-owned, and antique jewelry is not covered under this warranty.

Warranty Service: At its sole discretion, AJ will determine if a reported problem qualifies as a defect covered by this warranty. If AJ confirms a defect covered by this warranty, it will repair or replace the defective Product at no charge. AJ reserves the right to replace the defective product with a new or reconditioned product of similar design and quality.

Claim Process: To initiate a warranty claim, the Purchaser must contact AJ via help.assayjewelers.com or at info@assayjewelers.com and provide:

• A detailed description of the issue
• A copy of the original purchase receipt

AJ will then provide instructions on how to proceed, based on our assessment of the claim.

Exclusions: This warranty does not cover:

• Normal wear and tear (including, but not limited to, scratches, dents, and stretched chains)
• Damage resulting from misuse, accidents, unauthorized repair, or alterations
• Loss or theft of the jewelry
• Issues with counterfeit, replica, or non-authentic products

Note on Made-to-Order Items: Warranty coverage for custom-made or made-to-order items will be considered and possibly voided on a case-by-case basis, at the sole discretion of AJ, depending on the nature and circumstances of each case.

WATCH MOVEMENT WARRANTY

Coverage: AJ provides a limited movement warranty for a period of one (1) year from the date of delivery for all watches purchased from www.assayjewelers.com or through official AJ channels, including vintage and pre-owned watches. This warranty covers defects in the watch movement that occur under normal use. Covered defects include, but are not limited to:

• The watch stopping or failing to run
• Failure to wind or hold a power reserve
• Timekeeping outside the normal range for the watch's age and calibre, as determined by AJ's watchmakers
• Failure of the date, day, chronograph, or other complications to operate
• Quartz circuit failures

Warranty Service: At its sole discretion, AJ will determine if a reported problem qualifies as a movement defect covered by this warranty. If AJ confirms a covered defect, it will repair the movement at no charge. All warranty repairs are performed by AJ's in-house watchmakers or watchmakers authorized by AJ. If a repair is not possible, AJ will, at its sole discretion, replace the watch with a timepiece of comparable value or refund the original purchase price. AJ will cover insured return shipping on approved warranty claims.

Claim Process: To initiate a warranty claim, the Purchaser must contact AJ via help.assayjewelers.com or at info@assayjewelers.com and provide:

• A detailed description of the issue
• A short video of the issue, where possible
• A copy of the original purchase receipt

AJ will then provide insured shipping instructions and next steps, based on our assessment of the claim. Please do not open the case or attempt any adjustment before contacting AJ.

Exclusions: This warranty covers the movement only. It does not cover:

• Damage from drops, impact, or other physical force
• Broken, cracked, or scratched crystals
• Bent or broken crowns, stems, pushers, and hands
• Water or moisture damage. Vintage watches are not water resistant unless water resistance is stated in the product listing.
• Straps, bracelets, clasps, and buckles
• Battery replacement
• Gaskets and seals
• Normal wear and tear (including, but not limited to, scratches, dents, and wear to the case, dial, or bracelet)
• Damage resulting from misuse, accidents, unauthorized repair, or alterations
• Loss or theft of the watch

Voiding the Warranty: Any watch opened, serviced, repaired, or modified by anyone other than AJ or a watchmaker authorized by AJ will void this warranty.

After the Warranty Period: Beyond the one-year warranty period, AJ will assist with servicing and repairs for a fee, plus applicable taxes and a shipping charge of $35. Any fee will be communicated to you for approval before work begins.

GENERAL TERMS

The following terms apply to both the Fine Jewelry Warranty and the Watch Movement Warranty.

Discretionary Decisions: All decisions regarding the repair, replacement, refund, or coverage of a piece under these warranties are at the sole discretion of AJ. AJ reserves the right to deny any warranty claims that it determines do not meet the warranty criteria.

Limitations of Liability: AJ shall not be liable for any incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits or revenue, arising from the purchase or use of any product, regardless of whether AJ was advised of the possibility of such damages. The sole remedy provided under these warranties will be the repair, replacement, or refund of the defective product as described above, at the sole discretion of AJ.

Jurisdictional Variations: These warranties give you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from jurisdiction to jurisdiction. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you.
